I answered, and they said I had won a $1000 shopping spree. They asked if I had a job, and when I replied that I was unemployed they hung up.

It's the Republicans doing the robo-calling. I have asked several times to get off their calling list as I find these calls to be annoying. What they don't understand is that reasonable people like myself have decided to NEVER vote for ANY Republican based on their sleazy, annoying tactics.

Someone said it was a carpet cleaning scam

Indian male calls me and claims he is from the law office... wants to take me to court. I get numerous calls per day and at my job!!!! I am nervous because they have my social security number, address, and knows where I work (I am a teacher). I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. I am also going to call their local police department. It is sick how they can scam money, harass you at work, and the kicker is this "lawyer" said F--- you to me when I threatened to report. Any help would be great!

he called me and asked for carlos, my name is kurt. then he said how carlos gave him the number to best reach him. i only got a name cause i said if carlos called me who should i say tried to reach him.

the caller called using this ph #, i picked up my cell phone, but no one answered. i hung up; what does this mean. Did they bug my phone. I am alittle paranoid??

I received a call from this number and was asked for by name. When I asked who was it, the caller hung up.

Yep, I just got the text message, too. And my service still charges me for text. This was unsolicited and cost me money. Is this legal? If it cost me money then they should have to pay since I ONLY use this phone for family and volunteer work and they would not have given my number. So how did these marketing scum get my info? And how do we go about making them pay for/reimburse the cost of their unwelcome text? I am on disability so for those of you who want to jump on my case for "whining" about cost... believe me... especially in this economy... EVERY penny counts. I tried calling it back via Google-voice but it just came back after a few rings with a prerecorded message stating that this number has a mailbox but that it had not been set up yet. Real professional. Can you say SCAM?
